About Callie
I am 43 and I live in Cheshire with my husband Pete and two dogs Chester and Inka.
I love the countryside, my garden and peace and quiet. My favourite season is spring time and nothing brings me greater joy than seeing the first pops of colour in the daffodils after a long cold winter!
I teach embodied movement classes in Frodsham to a friendly group who have been coming to me for about 7 years. I also have the pleasure of teaching workshops and weekend retreats in the UK and Wales.
So what's it like at my classes?
It's a peaceful space for you to experience what it feels like to be 'embodied'.
The word embodied comes from a whole field of work called 'somatics', which is based on the Greek word 'soma' meaning 'body'. When we move somatically we get knowledge and wisdom from our own body, as opposed to the knowledge we get from what other people tell us or from what we gain from books.
In my class you will be encouraged to explore movement in a way that allows you to have your own experience of it. The value of this approach is that no one has to get it right - you don't have to 'get it right' to be successful at being embodied.

As you begin to explore embodied movement you discover that there are so many movement possibilities available. Novel, interesting, playful, therapeutic movement that allows you to feel empowered about being in your own body!
Each one of my classes is a meld of somatic movement, hatha yoga, developmental and functional movement, breathwork and deep relaxation. Come and join me and experience it for yourself today!
