I teach one to one and group yoga classes in Cheshire; including Yoga Classes in Frodsham, Yoga in Helsby and Classes for Yoga in Winsford. I also teach Yoga Classes in Widnes on occasion. Since 2008 I have taught yoga to varied groups in a class setting, as well as workshops and weekend retreats in North Wales and the Lake District. My teaching style emphasises mindfulness and somatic awareness to assist in the release of habitual tension from body/mind. In each class you will be encouraged to bring an accepting presence to your observations on the mat, as you explore the healing and transformational capacity of yoga through movement, breath and relaxation.
I have been practising yoga and mindfulness since 2002 and began teaching yoga in 2008 when I became a teacher with Yoga Vidya Gurukal in India. I continued to train in mindfulness and prenatal yoga in 2009 and returned to India in 2013 to further my studies. I recently qualified as a teacher with The British Wheel of Yoga after completing the 500-hour Teaching Diploma over a 3-year period. My teaching style has been influenced by different traditions over the years, but my main influence has been my teachers Jon Malloy, Nicky Middlehurst and Sarah Beck.
Yoga offers many physical and mental benefits including improved focus, reduced stress levels and greater ease in movement. Offering yoga at work is an excellent way to highlight the importance of health within your company and boost employee moral.
Some companies are now offering a regular yoga class to their employees either after work or as part of the working day, as it can improve staff relations, enhance productivity and creativity, and alleviate common health complaints such as lower back problems and neck and shoulder tension, that if unresolved not only cause pain and suffering but also time off sick from work.
Corporate yoga classes are fun, light-hearted and accessible, something that the whole staff group can practice together irrespective of age or general fitness levels.
I have over 4 years experience of teaching yoga in the workplace. Some of the companies I have worked in are Yokogowa, Golden Gates Housing Trust, Ormiston Chadwick Academy, Prenton School for Girls and Bridgewater High School.
If you feel there is room for yoga in your workplace, or if you are an employer wanting to offer yoga to your staff, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Cancellation policy: One weeks notice required for cancellation of corporate yoga classes. If less than one weeks notice is given the full charge will be applied.
